Description

Silver amethyst drop earrings, two squared faces of deep violet crystal under a textured silver bar.

Amethyst druse, cut square
Each face is a block of crystal points standing up against one another. The square edges are ours: we cut the block in our Tbilisi studio and leave the points alone.

Deep violet, with pale patches in it
The color is not even across the face. Some points are deep violet, others are close to white. That is a record of how the crystal grew, layer on layer, each layer taking the color at its own strength.

A worked bar above each drop
The silver bar above the stone is not plain. It is textured like braid and carries as much detail as the setting itself. Seen from the side, it is the part of the earring you notice first.

Claws on all four sides
There is no closed bezel. Dark silver beads and claws grip the block along every edge and barely touch the face.

It swings as you turn
The drop hangs clear below the lobe. Turn your head and it moves, so the crystals meet the light from a different angle each time.

One of one
Every stone is chosen and set one at a time. The pair that reaches you will be close to the photograph and never a copy of it.
