Description

Sterling silver malachite earrings, two raw green stones shaped as long tapered drops.

Malachite is a copper carbonate. It grows in rounded layers, which is why the surface reads matte and velvety rather than glassy.

Raw malachite, not polished
We shape each stone and stop before the polish. Deep green, with lighter green running through. Most malachite jewelry goes all the way to a mirror finish.

Long, not round
Each stone narrows to a point at the bottom. The pair hangs as a slim drop, and reads longer on the ear than its weight suggests.

Matched, not identical
The two stones were chosen together. Raw malachite does not repeat, so they are a pair by eye and not by copy.

Made by hand
We shape and set every pair in our Tbilisi studio, on leverback fittings that close behind the ear.

One of one
Every stone is chosen and set one at a time. The piece that reaches you will be close to the photograph and never a copy of it.
