Description

This raw pyrite ring carries a gold nugget in a crown of silver beads, on a band worked like a twig.

Raw pyrite, gold in many small faces
Pyrite is an iron sulfide and it crystallizes in cubes. On this nugget those cube faces sit at every angle, so the surface throws light back in many separate points instead of one clean reflection. The color is a brass yellow with a metallic luster.

We leave the faces alone
We shape the stone in our Tbilisi studio, but the crystal faces stay as they are. A polish would flatten them, and that is exactly what makes this stone worth choosing.

Beads climb around the stone
Silver beads of different sizes hold the nugget from the edge. The silver is darkened, so the gold reads brighter against it.

A band worked like a twig
The band is not smooth. It carries bark texture and small silver leaves, cut and soldered by the same hand that builds the crown.

It adjusts on the finger
The band is open underneath, where the two ends pass each other, so the ring settles where you want it with no size to choose at checkout.

One of one
Every stone is chosen and set one at a time. The piece that reaches you will be close to the photograph and never a copy of it.
