Tapered Moonstone Necklace - Dark Silver Frame
Description
Moonstone necklace, a narrow white wedge held in a dark silver frame, on a soft black cord.
Three straight edges, cut by us
The pendant is narrow at the top and widens toward the bottom, and all three edges are straight. No stone comes out of the ground in this shape. We gave it that form in our Tbilisi studio and stopped before the polish.
Moonstone, matte and opaque
This stone does not pass light. It is a dense white, and the face is finely grained and matte, so light coming across it lies evenly instead of pooling in bright spots.
Silver only along the edges
There is no closed bezel here. Dark silver follows the perimeter of the stone and stops here and there in small drops, and the bail is two upright, textured prongs. The face of the stone is left almost entirely open.
One of one
Every stone is chosen and set one at a time. The piece that reaches you will be close to the photograph and never a copy of it.
