Description

Ornate tourmaline ring, an upright oval stone with a small silver flower above it.

The flower is what makes it ornate
Narrow silver petals radiate from a single point and sit just above the stone. Each petal is textured, so the spray catches light separately from the crown below it.

The stone stands upright
The oval is set tall rather than sideways, so the ring reads up the finger instead of across it. The beaded crown rises around the whole edge.

The tourmaline surface is where the color is
The rough face carries violet, blue and green across it. Turn the ring and the sparks move; hold it still and it reads black.

Shaped by hand, left unpolished
We give the stone its oval form in our Tbilisi studio and stop there. A polish would flatten the face and take the color with it.

It adjusts on the finger
The band is worked to look like a twig and it does not close. One end carries the stone and the other ends in silver, and the two stop short of each other. Press them a little closer or ease them apart and the ring holds where you set it, with no size to choose at checkout.

One of one
Every stone is chosen and set one at a time. The piece that reaches you will be close to the photograph and never a copy of it.
