Blue Aquamarine Ring - Raw Square Block Set High

This blue aquamarine ring sets a raw square block high on a band worked as a twig.

A flat top, not a dome
Aquamarine belongs to the beryl family, which grows as prisms with flat ends. We keep that flat top rather than rounding the stone into a dome, so the blue reads as one broad surface instead of a curve that throws the light straight back at you.

Deep blue, with white running through it
The stone is a deep blue, with white streaks and lighter patches scattered across the face without any pattern to them. That face is not polished, and the block sits high enough above the band that you see its sides as well as its top.

A beaded collar and a claw at each corner
A square collar of silver beads runs round the base of the stone, and a claw rises at each corner to hold it from above. We shape the stone and build the silver around it in our Tbilisi studio.

A band worked as a twig
Bark lines are worked along the surface of the band, and as it reaches the setting the band divides into branches that pass the stone on either side.

It adjusts on the finger
The band does not close in a full circle. The two ends pass each other away from the stone, so the ring settles where you want it and there is no size to choose at checkout.

Every stone is chosen and set one at a time. The ring that reaches you will be close to the photograph and never a copy of it.
